Week 6 Day 3 - DONE!


Wk6 Day3
done. done. donity.
DONE!
Warm up 5min.
started my 25 min jog (yes, day 3 is 25min),
made it just past 10min when m MP3 fell and went flying off the treadmill (eff!)
walked 5min (talking bad to myself, but at the same time
refusing to repeat today) ...
it took A LOT of talking myself thru it ~~~
I DID IT!
I jogged the next 26 (TWENTY-SIX) min going at 3.6-3.8
I DID IT!

I DID IT!

Week 5 - Good Golly!


I started week 5 last night.
I was a lil freaked about it - even more freaked about Friday.
The previous weeks were jog a few and walk a few.
Week 5 Day 1 -
jog 5
walk 3
jog 5
walk 3
jog 5
I didn't do anything special or add anything.
(with a 5min warm up and a 5 min cool dn walk).

My girlfriend did this with me again.
I did my C25K and then walked and talked w/ her
total of 1hr 3.25+ miles

Day 2 -
jog 8
walk 5
jog 8
walk 5
jog 8

(uh oh)

Day 3
20 min jog!
(Say Wut?!?)
As you may guess, I am a REALLY freaked about Friday
Altho - I can always repeat days or weeks, if I feel the need...
But I would like to attempt to finish all 9wks in 9wks.

Day 2 Week 4


Squashed like a Bug!

Mind you, I didn't add anything
or do anything special.
Just followed the 'chart'.

2.1 miles in 36.4 minutes.

Day 1 Week 4


Oh. Holy. Cow!

The past 3 weeks have been pretty *easy*
compared to this week.

The past 3, you or I (whomever)
would walk and jog the same amount of time
give or take 30 seconds.

This week tho -
Walk 5
Jog 5
Walk 1.5
Jog 3
Walk 2.5
Jog 3
Walk 1.5
Jog 5
Followed by a 5 minute cool down (walk).

Barely time to catch your breath after every jog.
But, I DID IT!
I even made the last 5 minute jog...I made that 10 minutes!
Shut yo mouth!

2.1 miles

WOW.

Day3 Week3 - DONE!


I DID IT!
I keep saying that because I keep surprising myself!
Who'd a thunk, that I would be jogging?!?

Yesterday, I added 6 minutes to my jog/walk (couch to 5k).
Walk 5 minutes.
Jog 3
Walk 3
Jog 1.5
Walk 1.5
Jog 3
Walk 3
Jog....WAIT FOR IT...
Jog 8 minutes! Say wut?!?
I know, right!?!
Then walked 8 minutes.
Total 2 miles in 36 minutes.

Today - Ow.

A Challenge...


Hoss and I did a 'Mom n Me' 5k on Sunday (Hoss did great! It was his first, I totally expected him to bitch and complain the entire time, but to my surprise, he didn't). :)

Also, to my surprise - he would periodically start running. I am NOT a runner...I don't like it and you can't make me! But, I had to keep up with him. A girlfriend saw me running and of course, a look of TOTAL SHOCK came over her face.

Sunday night, she sent me a link and a challenge - Couch to 5k in 9 weeks. I was a little hesitant to do it (like I said 'I don't like it and you can't make me!). It was a challenge and I like me a good challenge.

I went to the gym last night to attempt this (I sometimes do weights and walk the treadmill, but I mostly do aquacize {not s'pose to get in the pool for a week after getting tattoos, so - I am doing the treadmill/weights}).

Day1 / Week 1 - a brisk 5 minute walk followed by 1min run - 2 min walk - 1 min run - 2 min walk...do this for 20 min, followed w/ a cool down of a 5 min walk. You know what? I DID IT (and I don't hate my gfriend like I thought I would).

*cross fingers* I keep it up.
