A lil More Time on the Castle Mural

Like the title says - I was able to put in a lil more time (still not enough) on the castle mural.

Those are the before and after (for now).

There are a few changes: rounded out the entire mural to make the border look better (that will be the last thing to be added). the castle has more pink (just what my clients daughter wanted).
the road is now water. the sky is a lighter blue with white, fluffy clouds. a few windows added (need more work).

There is a request for a bridge (I don't know) and not 1, but horses (that's plural), painted horses (my favorite kind). The flagpoles need to be added as well as the flags.

Details. Details. Details.

Castle Mural

I started a new mural today. Put in about 7 1/2 hours and I. Am. Spent! Ow.

Using a projector again (having sketched out the image a few days ago). This was very different from the Spider man cityscape.

I traced out the castle and then using brown paint started painting in the shadows.
Dark blue framing the castle (to make it POP).

My client picked out purple for the castle. Using an eggplant for shadows (painting over the brown) and a lighter shade for the main body. It looks good.

It's only about 80-90% finished. I still need to add trees, the road, a horse and details...lots and lots of detail.

Spider man, Spider man

Finished the mural today, got myself stuck in the snow and had a can of white paint open in my trunk. Fun Times!

I'm not just a pretty face

...but I can draw & paint too.

My girlfriend was looking to get one of those vinyl sticker things for her wall (son). But through research she found that they don't stick well to textured walls.
I told her I could paint the image on her wall, for a cheaper price than the stickers and she wouldn't have to worry that it comes unstuck. (She bought the paint + my time)

Yesterday, we spent 5 1/2 - 6 hours painting (she would help with blocking in).

I did Spider-man on one wall facing the city on another. The city has water with the building reflecting. There is also glow in the dark paint on the windows (we weren't sure about the windows, but once I added a few - I cant imagine it without).

I go back on Tuesday to do final touch ups and detail work.

I used an overhead projector to get Spider-man on the wall (I had sketched out an image a couple weeks before - Had I free handed on the wall, I think I would still be there).

***So, I didn't make it back today due to a freak blizzard. Tomorrow or Friday is now the plan***
