Castle Mural

I started a new mural today. Put in about 7 1/2 hours and I. Am. Spent! Ow.

Using a projector again (having sketched out the image a few days ago). This was very different from the Spider man cityscape.

I traced out the castle and then using brown paint started painting in the shadows.
Dark blue framing the castle (to make it POP).

My client picked out purple for the castle. Using an eggplant for shadows (painting over the brown) and a lighter shade for the main body. It looks good.

It's only about 80-90% finished. I still need to add trees, the road, a horse and details...lots and lots of detail.

Christmas Tree 2010

This is attempt #4 (Attempt 1,2 & 3 = FAIL).

Yes, it is hanging from the ceiling.

Yes, it is a tomato cage (what is left of 1, I got out of our backyard).

Yes, it needs MORE lights and Yes, it needs MORE ornaments - granted it doesn't come tumbling down, I will get MORE!

I ♥ it!
...
With 2 boys that HAVE to touch everything and a dog that HAS to chew on everything, this was the only option next to -> not having one at all.

I ♥ how the ornaments hang.

Food for Thought: Food Combos

Some of my all time favorite food combination *don't knock it til you try it*

Lima Beans with ketchup.

Salmon Patties topped with Karo syrup (invisible syrup)

ALL TIME FAVORITE: Cornbread crumbled into a glass with buttermilk (just enough to make the bread moist not drowned).

Some of my others would be: a peanut butter (creamy) and jelly sandwich dipped into cherry or fruit punch Kool Aid, cottage cheese topped with bacon bits (crunchy), hush puppies dipped in tartar sauce, egg/sausage/cheese biscuit with strawberry jelly or honey (prefer the jelly though).

These are just off the top of my head.
