What I am...

What I am.

I can't sing.

I can't dance.

I don't act.

I don't scrapbook.

I don't stamp.

I don't do sports.

I don't do cars.

I don't do politics.

I am not good with words/spelling.

And I only cook because I have to.

Therefore, I create with my hands and mind...Art. I have been drawing and painting all my life.
I grew up watching my mom draw and paint, I would copy her art (I still have her originals and my copies of hers).
There is this Indian bust she painted many many years ago and she has asked me to 'put a face on him'. I refuse to do it because I like the way he looks, that and I do not believe one should mark on another's art.
I know I am truly having fun and into 'it' when my hands are covered in paint (or whatever medium I am using at the time).

About 16 years ago I started playing with clay, I love how it molds into whatever you wish it to be.

I also Love photography. My aunt is a professional photographer. She and I are different; she does professional posses. I, however, enjoy In The Moment pictures and what I like to call my Up Close and Personal pictures (flowers, plants, stones, architecture, etc).

I like playing with beads & stained glass too.

*Art is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone should like the same thing, how fun would that be?

Thanks for posting on my blog! I like that you are into so many different artsy things - I am the same way, I can't focus on just one, they are all so fascinating and people do so many different creative things with their art. Being an artist is definitely the best - even if it's not your "day job". =)
