Which decade fits me, the 1950s or 1960s?

http://marigoldswineblog.blogspot.com

This is the question I posted on my Facebook page.
Those that responded said the 1960's.
I love the music of the '50's, but my nature is the '60's baby!

I think it is sad that some people are too afraid to dress up. I mean, I don't know you from Adam - what do I care what you think.

Including the employees, 4 of us dressed up.
I won, GO ME! :)

I refuse to go, I refuse to go...I went.

It's my nature to be stubborn.
When I got sick, I figured it's just a cold or flu.
I refuse to go to the doctor and spend the $$ just to be told I would have to 'wait it out'.

Wednesday night though...my face started hurting, wth?
Yesterday morning it was worse.
So, like any modern day person...I googled symptoms.
Of all the things I read up on - it seemed to me more like a sinus infection.

(getting to the point already)
I went to the doctor.
I said 'I think I have a sinus infection'.
The doctor (WHY do I always get the really cute doctors when I go to Immediate Care?) Not complaining, but I am never looking my best (not that it matters, I am happily married w/ children - I can look, though).
He said it sounded more like Walking Pneumonia + facial pain (sinuses - this hurts like a mutha effa) and water in my ears (why I've been dizzy).

Hubs was joking last night that he was gunna 'take me for a walk', like Old Yeller.

I got a BIG arse shot (antibiotics to kill any and everything) + pills (more antibiotics).

My face hurts (not as bad as yesterday).
Here's to feeling better.

Boiled Peanuts!

When we moved from down south to the Rocky Mountains, I had no idea how much I would miss all my favorite Southern Fare.
After a few months of not having, not seeing and not living it (being that it is practically on every other street corner, much like our coffee shops here)
...it became a NEED, a WANT, a MUST HAVE.
I absolutely love it and will take the time it takes to make these here (down south it takes only hours to boil peanuts, but up here - where we have hard water and are at a higher altitude it can take a day or 2 to cook properly).
Don't turn your nose up at'em until you have tried'em,
the caviar of the South.

*you don't eat the shell, the shell merely holds in the flavor of the salt water.
You pop the top (non root end) and suck out the salt water, then you open the shell completely and eat the nut (or bean, depending on whom you speak to).

EPIC Giveaway!

Ta-Dah!

This is the picture she took, posting so you can see the brightness.

I will leave it to my friend to name it (it is her story after all).

My objective was to give movement, I think I did that.

I think the Hot (reds/oranges/yellows/whites)
vs
Cold (blues/greens/purples/whites)

is well balanced.

I added 5 stars, to represent the grandkids that are and will be (the stars will be a lil surprise).

*She sent me a txt and I quote 'I keep looking at it and tearing up! I absolutely love it, it's SO beautiful'.
On Facebook she wrote -
'My dear friend AmyC made this beautiful painting for me. I told her about a happy memory of my dad, and this is what she did. It is even more beautiful than I could have imagined. She even added 5 stars in the sky to represent each of his grandchildren. Amy you are an amazing artist, love.'

Another lil Peek

Tattoo to Art Piece

I have a girlfriend that asked me if I would create her a tattoo.
Of course, I jumped at the opportunity.

She has now asked me to turn the tattoo image into a BIG painting
(so, 'everyone' can enjoy it' - will no longer be a tattoo).
I like this idea even better.

*She and her family are on the beach and they see dolphins frolicking*
(there is more to it, but it is not my story to tell).
